  5. Textshot was originally created for the author's own use, to create
  6. illustrations for shareware program manuals. Something was needed that
  7. would create quick text-mode screen shots, and at that time there just
  8. wasn't anything available that would do the job. Now at version 3.1,
  9. Textshot still attempts to do only one thing well, offering both color
  10. and monochrome text-mode screen captures to .PCX graphics files,
  11. selectable fonts, precise image clipping *before* a picture is taken, and
  12. truly simple installation and removal. And there are no command line
  13. switches to remember, since all of Textshot's features are accessible and
  14. adjustable from within the program.
